Visitors Book - Craggley Cottage
Our aim is to provide a quality, comfortable and well equipped cottage from which you can enjoy your holiday in the Dales. We are very pleased to be able to share withy you our visitor book and some of the kind comments left by our guests in the visitors book and our feedback form since making Craggley Cottage available to guests in December 2003. We would like to thank our guests and we hope to see them again soon.

Returning guests from Christchurch, Dorset ... our second time at Craggley and rewarded with drier weather but colder. Dales Food Festival was enchanting. Found Herriot's famous watersplash and many red grouse. Good walking.

Guests from Coventry ... One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in - in any part of the country! Everyone is very friendly too. Can recommend the Wensleydale Heifer if you want a superb fish meal (but book!) and the fish and chip van on Wednesday! Good weather all week - only rained overnight and a little bit during the day on our last day.
Guests from Louth, Lincs ... Very cold week - spectacular walk to waterfalls at Askrigg - amazing 18" icicles and snow. Cottage lovely to come home to. A very happy week. Recommend the tea room at Askrigg. Home made scones by open fire - bliss!

Guests from Ramsgate, Kent .. Really loved the cottage. Everything we needed was provided. Garden was fantastic. Breakfasted outside each morning despite chilling mornings. We couldn't miss the views. As cat people, the visit from the black cat was an added bonus. Enjoyed watching the birds coming and going. Fox and Hounds good value wholesome food, and Copper Dragon beer recommended. Lots of Walks : Kettlewell to Arncliffe - hard work but rewarding. Worton to Adelburgh Moor also great. For tea and cakes Serendipity tea rooms in Leyburn. Finally thanks for the great weather. Came on Friday - dry and sunny until Wednesday evening! Thank you!

Guests from Southend on Sea, Essex ... We've visited the Yorkshire Dales several times, but this is by far the loveliest cottage, most welcoming and attention to detail - amazing. The children loved the paddling in the rivers and waterfalls. Excellent walk to Malham Cove. Our return visit to the Wensleydale Heifer excellent. Also must say the kite flying was superb - something the kids have never done before. You are very lucky to have such a lovely cottage. Thank you.

Returning guests from Odiham, Hampshire .... Weather has been fabulous if a little windy. Lots of fantastic days out on the fells (we must be fit by now ...). Great lunch at the Blue Lion at East Witton, trips to the Ribbleshead Viaduct, National Railway Museum, Harrogate, both breweries at Masham, and an organ recital at York Minster. Very much enjoyed the garden at Craggley and also your collection of fabulous books in the kitchen. This is our third visit to Craggley and it just gets better and better. Thank you very much for an excellent two weeks.

Visitors from Batley ... Lovely gottage and very pretty garden with gorgeous view. We were lucky with the weather and had planned several walks, but found it difficult to tear ourselves away. It is so nice not to hear traffic, just birdsong. Cottage is well equipped. Thank you for the milk, bread and butter and lovely flowers.

We particularly enjoyed the walk to Aysgarth Falls across the fields at the back of the house. The Dales are such a beautiful area.

As for the cottage - we have stayed in many but this one feels like home as soon as you walk through the door. Can't think of anything we needed that wasn't readily available. Charmingly decorated cottage - fantastic views. We will definitely be back. This place certainly earns its 4 stars."
