Yorkshire Self-Catering Holiday of the Year Award 2008
We are proud to announce that Cottage in the Dales have been selected as a finalist for the Self-Catering Holiday of the Year 2008 in the Yorkshire Tourist Board White Rose Awards. As one of six finalists, we are looking forward to the Awards ceremony in September 2008.
Andrew and Diane Howarth, owners of Cottage in the Dales, are delighted to be short-listed for the final of the Self-Catering Holiday of the Year 2008 at their first attempt. The White Rose Awards for Tourism are the top accolade for tourism in Yorkshire, created 19 years ago by the Yorkshire Tourist Board to recognise and reward excellence in tourism.
Entrants are asked to present a portfolio to the Tourist Board making their case as to why they are worthy winners. The judges assess submissions across a range of subjects that demonstrate a focus on high quality of service and accommodation, innovation in marketing, a strong business case and demonstrate evidence of a high level of visitor satisfaction and value for money.
The White Rose Awards for Tourism are supported by VisitBritain. Andrew and Diane will be joining the other finalists of the various categories at the awards ceremony in September 2008. Surrounded by supporters, VIPs, sponsors, invited guests and representatives from tourism businesses large and small throughout Yorkshire, the results will be announced, making this one of the largest tourism awards ceremony of its kind in the UK.
The winners in many of the categories also go forward to represent Yorkshire in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence organised by VisitBritain to be held in Spring 2009.
Cottage in the Dales is proud to be a member of the Yorkshire Tourist Board. The Tourist Board are passionate about Yorkshire and even more passionate about marketing Yorkshire. Like them, we strive to provide quality accommodation and services for visitors to the Yorkshire Dales. We wholeheartedly support their mission and messages.
